Halloween is this Saturday! Do you have any plans? Tokyo is close by, and you could always hang out in Shibuya, although the area has become much more restrictive when it comes to Halloween celebrations. But why not spend Halloween here in Ibaraki instead?
I know it can be pretty tough to find Halloween events or parties to attend in Ibaraki, but there's no need to worry! Mr. Ibaraki Eats is here to tell you what's happening around Ibaraki this Halloween!

Hitachinaka Drunken Duck Halloween Party

Good music, delicious food, and amazing company! Get your costume on and head to the Drunken Duck for some Halloween fun!
This is a special event for me because it's where Mrs. Ibaraki Eats and I met (although it was at the Mito party, not this one). There will be a DJ playing great music to dance to, Halloween-themed food, and plenty of awesome people wearing fantastic costumes. The drinks will be flowing all night, so get ready for a fun Halloween at the Drunken Duck!

Hachi Cafe

Have you ever been to the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland? Imagine if someone took the concept of that ride and turned it into a restaurant. That's what Hachi Cafe is like.
Located in Naka City, this restaurant has an incredible Halloween theme and serves fantastic food. From pumpkin pasta to steaks, everything is truly tasty. Don't forget to grab a Halloween dessert while you're there. I especially loved the Halloween parfait, which had a delicious eyeball right in the middle of it.
The Halloween theme and special menu are available until November 1st, so be sure to check it out before it's too late!

Hojo Mojo Record Dojo at Cafe Post Ten

Not looking for costume parties and loud music? Want to spend Halloween in a more relaxing setting? Then head over to Cafe Post Ten to enjoy some amazing music and delicious coffee!
My buddy Chris Bathke will be DJing and spinning some fantastic jazz records. There will also be Halloween treats for everyone to enjoy, while Shina-san brews up some fantastic drinks. Grab a coffee, sit back, and enjoy the amazing jazz records Chris has lined up for the occasion. It's the perfect way to spend a relaxing Halloween.

Halloween Party at Ami Dining Park

Interested in exploring the food side of Halloween? Ami Dining Park has you covered!
The park has a pizza restaurant, a ramen shop, and a brunch spot called Bon Bon. I've written about Bon Bon before, and they make excellent French toast and tacos. It looks like they're cooking up a special menu for this Halloween party, as well.
There will also be some treats for the kids and a Halloween photo spot for everyone to enjoy. Not a bad place to grab lunch or dinner on Halloween!

If you have kids and would like to go trick-or-treating, I know that many of the AEON malls in Ibaraki have Halloween events that include trick-or-treating. Also, near the Tsuchiura Library, there will be a Halloween event featuring a costume contest for kids from 13:00 to 16:30. There will also be a few food trucks and craft stalls to check out.

I hope this helps give you some ideas about what is going on around Ibaraki during Halloween. If anybody is heading to the Drunken Duck Halloween party, come say hi. Mrs. Ibaraki Eats and I will be dressed as Vikings!
Happy Halloween!
