Taking a small break from burgers and jumping into tacos!
This little mini post is dedicated to the greatest Mexican restaurant in Southern Ibaraki. A place located near Moriya station that brings tears of joy to my eyes whenever I visit. This magical tacos place is called Tres Club and you have to try it.
I have done a lengthy post on Tres Club before on the old blog page. If you want to check it out, here is the link:

Today's post will be a mini post about Tres Club and our experience there yesterday. The Ibaraki Eats Duo braved the harrowing winds that were blowing all over Ibaraki. I am pretty sure on the drive to Moriya, my car almost changed lines by itself thanks to those strong winds. After defining the weather and the pollen that was flying around everywhere, we walked into our familiar Mexican place to the music of Eminem playing on the sound system.

Special Nachos
The first thing we ordered was the nachos. The nachos with guacamole is a winner at Tres Club, but the special nachos bring melted cheese, chili beans and sauce. The crunch of those tortillas with that melted cheese is something that dreams are made out of.

Minced Meat Quesadillas
We also got the minced meat quesadillas. Melted cheese and meat inside a toasted tortilla is an amazing treat for everyone. Not into meat? You can order the plain quesadilla. If you are a meat eater, order the minced meat quesadillas. That combination of cheese, meat, and tortilla is just a wonderful experience that makes me want to relive it while I write this.

Shrimp and Beef Tacos
You have to get the tacos if you go to Tres Club. The owner makes his own tortillas and he is a master at what he does. You can smell fresh tortillas in the air when he is making them.
We ordered beef tacos and shrimp tacos. The shrimp tacos were excellent and when you bite into it, it gives you that nice explosion of lime, shrimp, and jalapeno sauce (if you are brave enough to use the sauce). I loved the shrimp tacos but I think the beef tacos were on a whole other level. The beef was so tender and juicy. It just felt like it was meant to be with this taco and that fate brought me to this excellent piece of Mexican food art.

Tahin
Finally, we had a small dessert to close out our heavenly Mexican feast. The Mexican style vanilla ice cream or tahin. It is vanilla ice cream sprinkled with spices. I have been told this is what Mexican people have in the summer to keep cool. The vanilla ice cream with those Mexican spices clash for an interesting and delicious flavor of sweet, salty, and a bit of hot spice. This makes for an ice cream that I would like to have during any season.
If you want to have an excellent Mexican style dinner then you have to give Tres Club a chance. It is one of the many jewels that Moriya City has to offer. Come by train if you would like to try their tequila selection. Who knows, maybe you will see me there. Actually, it is highly likely that you will see me there ordering as many tacos as I can.
Enjoy!
